Shreyas Iyer

Became the fifth Indian captain to win the IPL title on Sunday.

KKR won the Ipl for the third time by defeating their opponents in a one-sided summit clash at Sunriser Hotel, Hyderabad In Chepauk with eight wickets remaining.

Following victories in 2012 and 2014

Iyer was born just 29 years before, but KKR won its first IPL championship after a decade.

The post from his graduation of 2015 emerged again on social media for a while after winning an award.

The BCCI central contract snub and then being left out of this year’s T20 World Cup squad were hard blows to Iyer who found solace in his recent title win.

After MS Dhoni (CSK), Rohit Sharma (Mumbai Indians), Gautam Gambhir (KKR) and Hardik Pandya (Gujarat Titans), Iyer becomes the other Indian captain to have won an IPL title in addition to these legends.

Mitchell Starc bowled an amazing opening spell in the final against Sunrisers which helped KKR clinch their third IPL champ trophy.

To win the most lucrative Twenty20 tournament globally, Kolkata beat Hyderabad by a total of 113 runs making Australian left-arm fastman Starc the best bowler with figures of 2 overs none for 14 runs..

Starc came into Kolkata through December auctions where he fetched a record $2.98 million, ending up with two solid performances including knee figures of three overs none for thirty four runs during first playoff games against same opponents as today .

Sunil Narine fell early but Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 39 while being unbeaten on 51 that eventually led to Venkatesh Iyer partnering him home with his quick fire innings having score d 9.3 runs when he made 91 runs worth with his partner.

Iyer is a left-handed batsman who scored 50 off just 24 balls and went on to win the match and bring Kolkata into celebration as they maintained their position at the top of the table with 20 runs A dominant team.
