Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader and his close escape from accident, when part of the stage collapsed during his performance on Monday in one of his election rallies in Bihar.
The incident took place in paliganj which is located at the outskirts of Patna where he once supported her daughter Misa Bhatti for parliament.
On the stage as she guided him to his seat, a section of the impromptu podium fell apart suddenly and made hi m lose balance. Having thought faster than others around, Bharti caught hold of Gandhi’s hand and prevented him from falling.
Even though they were scared, Gandhi along with Bhatti managed to show calmness as they smiled at some security officials that hurriedly came to their aid. Both men clarified that there was no injury on Gandhi at all.
Following this incident, however, Gandhi resumed his speech by addressing the huge crowd in attendance and reaffirming his endorsement for Bharti’s candidacy.
