Stage 7 of Lok Sabha Election: Who will vote?
At this stage, representatives from the lower house of parliament will be elected by voters in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Bihar, West Bengal, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha and Jharkhand. These constituencies have 904 candidates competing for victory.
Punjab: All North West State seats within the state
Himachal Pradesh: All four northern states’ seats
Jharkhand: In eastern state’s14 constituencies only three seats
Odisha: In eastern state’s21 constituencies only six seats

When is phase seven voting for Lok Sabha election?
The polling stations are going to open at 7 am in this final phase. To make sure that all eligible voters have enough time to take part in voting, this process will continue until 6 pm. Additionally, election authorities will accommodate those who were queuing before the deadline time.
Seventh Phase of Lok Sabha Elections : Key Constituency & Candidates
Varanasi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is contesting his reelection bid from this high profile constituency aiming for a third consecutive term. Congress candidate Ajay Rai supported by Indian opposition group seeks to challenge Modi’s dominance.Afzal Ansari now representing Samajwadi Party is vying to retain his seat he won in 2019 while Parasnath Rai (BJP) took part while Umesh Kumar Singh (BSP) added another angle into it making it triangular.
Patna Sahib – Former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, who’s from this stronghold of the BJP, is seeking a reelection. Also, he is being challenged by Congress candidate Anshul Abhijeet, former Lok Sabha speaker’s son Meira Kumar.
Karakat – This independent has left Asansol after Bhojpuri film star Pawan Singh turned against NDA candidate Upendra Kushwaha. While CPI’s Raja Ram Singh brings another twist into the triangular contest.
Mandy- Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut will be making her electoral debut from this seat to win it back for BJP which she will be pitted against Congress MP Vikramaditya Singh.
Chandigarh- The BJP has substituted Sanjay Tandon with two-term MP Kirron Kher. Former Union minister Manish Tewari (Congress) his AAP support him in opposition to him.
Lok Sabha Elections: Who Rules Which State/UT
Uttar Pradesh: Uttar Pradesh is fully ruled by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), its independent governance stronghold.
Bihar: In Bihar, Bharatiya Janata Party has joined hands with regional parties in power. National Democratic Alliance (NDA) led by Bhartiya Janta Party share power with regional allies in Bihar.
Odisha: NDA-supported BJD is governing Odisha and running state affairs there.
Himachal Pradesh: Himachal Pradesh is governed by Indian National Congress which holds power at the state level
Punjab: With Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leading the Indian Alliance, other federal parties join forces to form government in Punjab also known as Punjab’s political landscape.
Jharkhand: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led Indian Union represents the diverse political structure of the region which governs Jharkhand.
West Bengal: The Indian Union’s key member, the Trinamool Council, has shaped West Bengal’s political line since 2011.
Chandigarh: Chandigarh is a Union Territory that operates under the central government with no state government of its own.
Seventh phase of Lok Sabha elections: What’s closed, what’s open
Closure:
During polling hours, all schools and educational institutions in the polling constituencies will be closed. Some of these centers served as polling stations thus they needed to shut down. Increased security measures will be taken at such places.
Throughout voting hours, all state government offices shall remain closed.
Banks in some constituencies shall close before Saturday’s elections.
Commercial liquor sales are to cease during the election period and liquor shops in all fifty-seven constituencies would remain shut while voting occurs.
Open:
In all the constituencies essential services such as hospitals, ambulance services, medical facilities and law enforcement facilities will be on offer. Pharmacies and grocery stores too are going to operate normally.
Public transport will continue working according to its regular routes and timetables; additionally, some areas may add extra buses or minibuses so as to simplify travelling for voters who want to participate in elections.
Hotels, restaurants, shopping malls and cinemas are expected to mostly remain open though their opening hours might change slightly on account of vote timings which have been designed towards creating easy electoral process flow for people turning out to vote smoothly too.
Lok Sabha elections: Voting and results dates so far
As of now regarding 543 constituencies available 487 seats decided by fate after first six phases of the Lok Sabha elections were completed.
Several states/union territories including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Meghalaya, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Khanna tak, Mizoram hav e already finished voting. So also have Haryana, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Telangana. Nagaland Uttarakhand Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman, Diu, Ladakh Lakshadweep Islands and Pondicherry District.
Results of 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be declared on June 4.
