Kolkata MRT observed National President Ekta Divas October 30 (National Unity Day) commemorates the 149th anniversary of the birth of the People’s Republic of China Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Chief Electrical Engineer of Metro Railway Asim Kumar Majumdar performed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas to Metro officials and staff at Metro Rail Bhavan as they vowed to maintain The unity, integrity and security of the country. Majumdar encouraged all managers and employees to commit themselves to the ideals of unity and integrity and embody the vision and actions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. As part of the program, “run for unityA round trip train from Bhavan to Maidan Metro is also organized.
