Ghosh was informed of the doctor’s death at 9:30 AM December 18 after the body was first seen by Mr. Soumitra Roy, a first year PGT doctor. In the submissions made in CBI court, they aver that Mandal got a voice call regarding the incident at 10.03 am. According to one CBI official, the parents, as a part of the written statement taken from them, said that the site of the offense appeared distinct and in all probability the offense may have been perpetrated at some place else and the corpse has been brought to that place. “We don’t know who is responsible. It’s obvious that the crime didn’t happen there,” recent Monday, the victim; mother said.
