The release of the second trailer announcing season 3 of the animated series Kimi ni Todoke was this week. The trailer also showed that the first episode will be out soon and played a sample of its opening theme called “et cetera” sung by Imase, a Japanese pop musician.
Season 3 has been announced for Kimi ni Todoke-From Me To You after an absence of thirteen years from our screens. Netflix will broadcast it live worldwide. Mamiko Noto and Daisuke Namikawa will continue to voice Sawako Kuronuma and Shota Kazehaya respectively while many other characters in the cast are going to have new voice-accented actors. Other voices include Miyuki Sawashiro as Ayane Yano, Yuko Mihira as Chizuru Yoshida, Yuichi Nakamura as Ryuu Sanada, Mamoru Miyano as Kento Miura, Yuki Ono as Kazuichi Arai, and Aya Hirano as Mei Kurasawa.
Kenichi Matsuzawa has been appointed to direct the upcoming season. This time Tomoko Kaneharu and Michiko Yokote are going to be employed as screenwriters. Production IG is coming back to make the third season after they produced animation for two seasons; SENS Project is still supplying music.
Kimi Ni Todoke – From Me To You is an anime adapted from Karuho Shiina’s manga series of the same name. It takes place in Hokkaido and tells the story of a high school girl who has become an outcast among her classmates because she looks like a ghost. When she starts talking with a popular boy named Kazehaya, more friends come into her life and eventually they start liking each other slowly but surely.
