Elvish Yadav joins Roadies, big news gets fans excited Watch
In a previous interview about her role in Suhaagan, she revealed that she initially auditioned for the role of Phoolwati bua. However, this did not materialize and she was later offered the role of Purvati’s daughter. She said, “That’s when I thought, why not play a younger character instead of playing Bua or Chachi? Purvati uses my character to carry out her dirty tricks to torture the heroine Bindya (Gary Maa Kishnani) and Payal (Anshula Dhawan). It’s a Cinderella-esque storyline where my character is full of herself and leaves no stone unturned to trouble Bindya.
The actress also said that she has no problem playing older characters on screen as long as she feels comfortable. She said, “Whether I am younger or older than my actual age, I should make the role convincing. In shows like ‘Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi’, ‘Mose Chhal Kiye Jaaye’ and ‘Sanjivani’, I Playing my age. However, in Suhaagan, I am playing a character who is six years younger than me, which is rare and interesting. I am aware of the clichés that surround the characters that I play. They’re all stupid characters who either eat too much or have a broken marriage. I’m tired of those stereotypes. People need to understand that not every curvy person is insecure or lacks confidence.
