The Karnataka governor, Thaaarchand Gehlot, gave his consent to the prosecution of the chief minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday. This was a case related to Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) website allocation scam as reported by sources in Raj Bhavan of Press Trust of India (PTI) news agency.
Few weeks ago TJ Abraham, a social activist and advocate approached the governor with a prayer to allow him file a case against CM Siddaramaiah concerning land owned by his wife BM Parvati.
Siddaramaih had earlier been confident that the governor would not permit it to proceed
“I believe everything is legal so he (the governor) should be convinced. Because that’s legal I have no hope he won’t accept it because He is head of the constitution and if things are like in respect to Why wouldn’t he? I think he will accept it,” Siddaramaiah told journalists in Mysuru on March 23.
The alleged MUDA scam involves fraudulent allocation sites land loser.
The scam came out after original owners of 3.16 acre land in Kesare village petitioned DC Mysuru to take back their land.

Ever since then, there has been an ongoing debate about its ownership after Prime Minister’s wife BM Parvathi purportedly gave away 14 prime plots in Mysuru as compensation for her husband’s government acquiring some of her land under the 50:50 Plan Operated by MUDA.
This controversial MDUA scheme envisions allotting fifty percent of developed lands to losers who had not got any development rights when residential layouts were created.
