A big celebration recently took place in Swami Vivekananda Subhadi University to mark the 25th anniversary of its establishment with a grand jubilee Kargil Vijay silver This occasion applauded martyrs’ families and retired servicemen, the Satyajit Ray Auditorium at Subhuti Academy of Fine Arts is used for patriotic activities.
Subharti Principal Major General Dr. GK Thapliyal welcomed the audience members as well as students. He reminded everyone about valiant soldiers’ sacrifices and announced plans for establishing a “Kargil Martyrs Memorial Hall” In the College Memorial Garden.
The event was organised by Colonel Rajesh Tyagi, Director Subharti National Defense Academy told Parami News: “I have participated in Kargil war; I can still vividly remember that situation. It still sends shivers down my spine.” We should always remember that we live a peaceful life because of our border heroes who lay down their lives just to see us sleep peacefully
Speaking as chief guest, Major General Ravindra Singh (recipient of Sena Medal and Vishisht Seva Medal) extolled Indian Army’s resolve and appreciated Subhadi University’s efforts in supporting families of military personnel and setting up Martyr’s Memorial Garden. The founder of Subhati Group, Dr. Atul Krishna thanked soldiers along with those who died for their country.
The final part entailed remarks from different university professors and dignitaries like Dr. Seema Sharma and Dr. Nisha Singh who were moderators on that stage. These celebrations brought together officials, teachers as well as scholars to pay homage to people who fought during Kargil War.
