Jonathan Majors an American actor in trouble. His first feature film role was after a conviction of domestic violence. The actor will be featured in the forthcoming movie titled “ruthless” by Martin Villeneuve, his younger brother Denis Villeneuve who is a filmmaker for ‘Dune’ as reported by Variety.
In Ruthless, Jonathan Majors will play a senior CIA interrogator who turns dark to defeat it after being taken over by an evil force his loved one.
Villeneuve is best known for directing the sci-fi movie ‘Mars and Avril Lavigne’, which he will direct from Frank Hanna script.
Producing with Christopher Taffin are Kevin Townsend and Kevin DeWalt as well Amanda Delaplane, Chris Oakes, Andrew Bates and Ben Dewalt shall serve as executive producers.
Major has been seen as one of Hollywood’s up and coming talents having had roles in “Lovecraft Country,” “Creed III,” along with Marvel’s “Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantum of Madness.” It was a highly reviewed performance that led to a well-publicized trial on charges of assaulting his family.
One Misdemeanor count of Third Degree Assault and one count of Second Degree Harassment were brought against him by a Manhattan jury that found him guilty in December 2023. He escaped jail term but would have to participate in an intervention project as punishment.
After he was convicted, Jonathan Majors got fired from the role he was supposed to reprise for Marvel Studios where he played Kang the Conqueror – A supervillain and henceforth also meant for any future Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film.
