John Abraham is ready for the release of his much awaited film Vedaa and in this interview he talks about various aspects of his life and career.

John Abraham told Ranveer Allahbadia that after completing his MBA, the very first salary he received as a media planner was Rs 6,500. The actor remembered that in one of his interviews, he was asked if he would like to be called “the next big thing.” The actor recalled how he got a chance to participate in Gradrag competition where Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Karan Johar and Karan Kapoor were judges.. So it was quite a lot of moneyespecially since my take-home salary at that time was just Rs 11,500.

When asked how he spends his salary, John revealed that he spends less on himself. He used to get chapatis from a local eatery with a side of dal fries for lunch at the cost of only 6 rupees back in 1999. His dinner used to be skipped because I worked late in office. Apart from filling up gas for my bike since I do not have a cell phone and rely on train passes for travelling… In summary, John saved and invested money in stock mutual fundsthat marked the beginning of her business.

Furthermore, John Abraham stressed on the need to make money but also spend it properly. He said being motivated by profits is good in a capitalist society. However, what matters is spending the cash wisely. He added that corporate social responsibility (CSR) came into being so as to encourage people give some percentage of their earnings as charity.

In between work commitments, next, John will be seen opposite Sharvari Wagh who will feature alongside him in Vedaa. The release date of this movie is set for August 15th this year.
