At the top of this week’s Billboard new music poll, Jimin’s latest solo album “Muse” is soaring. The album has received 68% of this week’s vote and its impressive victory places it ahead of other notable albums such as Stray Kids’ “Ate”, Joe Jonas’ “Work It Out,” JADE’s “Angel of My Dreams” and Childish Gambino’s “Bando Stone & The New World”.
In June, Muse was released by Jimin. His continuously changing musical styles further develops the themes he explored in his starting solo album called Face. After Face reached No.2 on Billboard 200 last year, BigHit Music describes Muse as a reflection of Jimin’s pursuit for inspiration and his growth in music.
The record which features collaborations with artists Loco and Sofia Carson showcases Jimin’s experimentations with fresh sounds and styles; before then, underlining to all BTS ARMYs that their idol is an extraordinary talent who has achieved history by becoming the first Korean solo artist ever to secure number 1 spot on Billboards Hot 100 charts with ‘Like Crazy’ back in 2023.
During their time in military service Jin excepting all BTS members enlisted as well as worked on various projects by Jimin. He is also preparing to release a documentary series Are You Sure with Jungkook?
Stray Kids’ Ate was behind Muse in this week’s poll with a voter share of 27%. Following “Lose My Breath”, which involved Charlie Puth, this mini-album marks the band’s third single of 2024.
About Jimin
Jimin whose real name is Park Ji-min debuted in 2013 singing alongside South Korea boy band BTS as Big Hit Entertainment subsidiary. Since then both as part of BTS member and just a solo artistes, Jimin has made huge strides into leaving lasting impacts.
Solo songs like Lie (2016), Serendipity (2017) and Filter (2020) were released by him, all of which topped the South Korea’s Gaon digital charts. His first solo song “Promise” debuted in 2018, followed by “With You” in 2022 for the TV series Our Blues. Jimin’s personal debut album “Face” came out in 2023 and topped South Korean and Japanese charts while it reached year number two on United States list. When its single Named ‘Like Crazy’ made history as it turned out to be the No.1 Billboard Hot 100 making Jimin then the highest charting Korean solo artist.
In 2023, Jimin wrote “Vibe”, a collaboration with Taeyang and appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time himself. The single Set Me Free went platinum For free. Number two was occupied by like crazy alongside No.
His recent works have included the December 2023 single Closer Than This and travel reality show Are You Sure?! With Jungkook, which is set to air in 2024. Jimin continues to enthrall his fans with his music as well as his charisma.
