Jhulan Goswami the legendary fast bowler of India has taken up a new role as coach at Trinbago Knights (TKR) of the Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL).
“It is a privilege to become part of such an elite franchise,” said Goswami, who was born in Kolkata.
Goswami retired from international cricket in 2022, having had an outstanding career that spanned two decades and saw her pick 355 wickets for India across all formats.
“I am honoured to be part of WCPL with TKR women since Knight Riders have done well in India and all over the world. I would like to thank KKR management for considering me as mentor and I am very excited about this tournament.”
She will provide guidance in her new position for TKR women’s team which is led by gifted all-around athlete Deandra Dottin. Underneath Dottin’s captaincy, TKR Women won inaugural edition of WCPL 2021 and claimed championship.
The Knights have added some international stars Jemima Rodriguez, Meg Lanning, Jessie Jonathan and Shikha Pandey. This comes as they seek their second WCPL title at the forthcoming event in Trinidad & Tobago starting August.

As part of the contest, TKR Women’s team will have four league games. They will face Barbados Royals and Guyana Amazon Warriors from August 22 to 27.
The Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Taruba will host the final on August 29.
