BJP-AJSUP joint NDA leads in 9 seats; indian block Leading five in total 14 seats Held in Jharkhand at noon, the counting of votes for the Lok Sabha polls began at 8 am. Among the total NDA leads, the BJP is leading in 8 seats while the AJSU-P is leading in 1 seat. On the other hand, India blocks congress It is ahead by three seats while JMM is ahead by two seats.
On nearly six seats, the NDA and the Bharatiya Janata Party are locked in a tight fight with a slim vote margin. Judging from early trends, political experts doubt whether the NDA will be able to maintain its position compared to the last general polls.
In 2019, NDA won twelve (12) seats including eleven (11) coming from BJP and one (1) from their allies. On contrary to this Congress and JMM have Singhbhum and Rajmahal respectively.
Among these fourteen (14) seats there are five (5) reserved ones that include ST Seats and just one SC seat. The various ST Seats comprise of Singhbhum, Lohardaga, Khunti, Dumka as well as Rajmahal. In all these seats except for Dumka where it had put up Sita Soren – a turncoat who was JMM patriarch Shibu Soren’s oldest daughter-in-law, BJP trailed. Just before elections she defected from JMM to join saffron camp due to her “neglect” on both JMM and Soren family side. Sita has been elected MLA thrice from Nala i.e.,Dumka assembly constituency.
