During the last two Test tours of India Australiathe factor that remains the same is the threat posed by the primary pacer Jasprit Bumrahwhich coincides with the fact that India ended these tours with a historic series win. In his third tour of Australia, Bumrah continues to torment the Aussie team and is likely to be the deciding factor in the final result once again.
Has 21 wickets in the three ongoing Tests Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) Bumrah surpassed Australia’s record of 50 Test wickets with an astonishing average of 10.90. Not only that, the 31-year-old Indian pacer has the highest strike rate among bowlers in this list.
The list includes legends such as Richard Hadlee, Michael Holding, Ambrose briefly, Kapil DevIan Botham and others; but Bumrah’s strike rate of 41.0 is the best.
West Indies legend Ambrose took Australia’s most Test wickets with 78 scalps in 14 games. With 53 wickets, Bumrah surpassed Kapil Dev (51 wickets) among Indian bowlers.

In fact, Bumrah is enjoying the best of his three tours of Australia so far. He took 21 wickets in four Tests in 2018-19 and he has taken the same number of wickets in three Tests in this BGT.

In the 2020-21 season, he took 11 wickets in the three-Test series.
