Viral ‘lucky eagle’ girl, Haley Welch, became popular all of a sudden A YouTuber has taken the world’s attention as far as moves in bed that make men crazy are concerned. Her response is ‘hawk tuah’ and it is shared widely with billions of views on various social media platforms.
According to Yahoo Finance, talent manager Tyler Riley equated people’s responses to lottery winnings.
He said: “It is like winning the lottery.”
Welch capitalizes on her viral reputation Collaboratively she sells “hawk tuah” products like signature hats and regular hats for sale through flat thread cloth company.
According to Rolling Stone, Jason Poteete the brand owner claimed he wanted Welch involved in the process but did not disclose how much commission she got from sales.
Poteet said, “She didn’t get anything from that first viral video.” No one asked her permission for anything. I just wanted her to make some money out of that deal.
There have been 2,000 units sold with earnings approaching $100K. The brand owner promised that Welch would be part of it and would take a share of benefits.
Examples of this include New York TikTok creators Megan Boni and Danielle Bregoli also known as Bhad Bhabie who capitalized on their brief fame leading them into successful careers. While Boney received a music deal after going viral on TikTok (Dr. Phil’s), Bhad Bhabie’s trending phrase enabled her rap career to start.
Nevertheless virality can be too much to handle sometimes or act as an invasion. It was hard for Poteet when Welch couldn’t cope with instant fame while Riley talked about issues of privacy. Misinformation has gone around saying that because children were imitating her catchphrase, Welch was fired for something similar to this.
“That’s a tricky path: attention seeking – even more difficult is how you use it,” he stated. “Until she stops being overwhelmed and starts thinking, ‘What do I do with this?’” It has already gone.
On the other hand, it was pointed out by Progressive Legal’s Ian Aldridge that there is a rise in viral content trademarks but others should not attempt to trade mark Welch’s expression in Australia because of legal problems or blocked by authorities if they find it offensive refuse.
