The 78-year-old former president Bill Clinton spoke to delegates at the Democratic National Convention on Thursday, his voice husky and hands shaking. According to him, he hinted that he may not be attending any more of such conventions because of health issues. During his 27-minute speech, he also said things about dying and endorsed Tim Walz as vice president.
These aspects shocked audiences who took note of the disordered attitude of Clinton throughout the slow talk.
He thanked everybody for so many years of D.N.C. attendance “I don’t know how many more conventions I can go to,” Mr. Clinton said. “I started in 76, I started in 72 I’ve been to every one of them. Good Lord I’m old,” he joked before saying: “Only personal vanity I have is I am still younger than Donald Trump.” by JUNE who turned 78.
In this case regarding retiring President Joe Biden, whose current hideout is an $37 million California ranch donated by rich people, Clinton talked positively about him. “For courage, compassion, grace, service and sacrifice” is what Clinton referred to when talking about Biden’s presidency. Significantly though Clinton did not use teleprompter relying a tried-and-true technique: looking at notes in front of him instead. It was reported that due to last minute changes he could not load up the speech into a teleprompter.
Lastly when discussing Biden’s choice to relinquish power voluntarily Clinton stated “he voluntarily gave up political power.”
