At first investigation reports are present Iranian its Chairman Ibrahim Lacey’s death crash of a helicopter’s.
A statement from military officials released on Friday denied any attack on the helicopter’s. The Armed Forces General Staff, which is investigating the accident, said it had not yet determined responsibility and would provide further details following further investigations.
But the accident happened on Sunday in which one person died, Lacey’s presidency; and among the dead was Iran’s foreign minister.
The investigative report indicates that no suspicious activities happened between tower control and chopper crew in what local media refers to as an investigation into this regard conducted by the Iranian General Staff.
Two other helicopter’s which were accompanying it communicated with it for the last time 90 seconds before they crashed.
No bullet marks or similarities appeared on wreckage of Bell 212 aircraft, according to a report from Iran’s armed forces published yesterday, indicating that Mr. Lacey and his entourage were not targeted for this matter.
Their flight path remained unchanged while there was no response by radio to a pilot warning from another aircraft. It caught fire after crashing into a rugged hillside but its finding took more than fifteen hours of searching.
Regarding final conclusions, the military said it needed more time to make them officially. Iran attributed the crash to natural causes such as bad weather conditions, without pointing fingers at any particular country or blaming anyone in particular.
The media organization identified the wreckage as belonging to an American made Bell 212 helicopter’s while Washington disassociated itself with arms sanctions against Tehran over this incident.
“In essence, it was at last choice of Iranian government whether to fly a forty five year old copter under harsh rainy weather or otherwise,” stated Matthew Miller.
