IPL Auction 2025 Day 2: Who's left with how much money in the purse and slots to fill

The opening day of the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction in Jeddah saw Punjab Kings going in with the biggest purse among the 10 franchises and were expectedly the most aggressive in spending. However, ahead of the concluding day of the auction, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have the most left in the bank.
Before the auction began, Punjab had INR 110.50 crore following their decision to spend just INR 9.50 crore on retaining two uncapped players — Shashank Singh for INR 5.5 crore and Prabhsimran Singh for INR 4 crore.
All the teams had INR 120 crore before the retention window.
On Monday at the Abadi Al Johar Arena, Punjab splurged INR 88 crore to buy eight players and are now left with INR 22.50 to complete their squad.
Here’s how the 10 teams stack up in terms of remaining purse and slots left to be filled on the last day of the auction:

TEAM REMAINING PURSE (INR – crore) TOTAL SLOTS LEFT TO FILL OVERSEAS SLOTS
RCB 30.65 16 5
MI 26.10 16 7
PBKS 22.50 13 6
GT 17.50 11 5
RR 17.35 14 4
CSK 15.60 13 4
LSG 14.85 13 4
DC 13.80 12 4
KKR 10.05 12 3
SRH 5.15 12 4

On the concluding day of the auction, 32 players will be presented before the accelerated process begins from player No. 117 to 577.
In a communication to the franchises before the auction, the BCCI wrote, “For your planning purposes please note, subject to timings it is envisaged that the accelerated process will start after player No. 116. The first accelerated process will cover all the players from 117-574.
“Franchises will be asked to nominate a set number of players from this group by 10 pm on the evening of November 24. Once these players (117-574) have been presented, franchises will be requested to submit the names of players (unpresented/unsold) from all those on the full list of 574 for further accelerated presentation.”
