Artificial intelligence on social media is starting to tag content as art. This year, Yuan announced that Facebook Instagram users would start seeing tags on AI-generated images in their social media feeds.
A tag was discovered by a member of The Times of India’s technical team. The ‘Made with Al’ tag appears below the page name in the feed. When clicked, a message pops up saying: “Generative Al may have been used to create or edit content in this article.”
How do you define Generative formula Al?
Generative artificial intelligence is a computer model that learns patterns from data. For example, people can use it to create images or videos.
Helps Identify Al Generated Content
People can attach this tag when they are posting something made by means of Al.
We will also add it when people share contents with AI indications that our systems can read. However, there may be some unmarked articles created in Al. click here for more
How AI tags work on Instagram
According to the Instagram help page, content may either be automatically tagged if it contains AI metrics or user might choose to tag AI-generated content while sharing on Instagram. Labeling AI-generated content helps establish transparency on the platform, something Instagram enforces in some cases.
“Content detected with industry-standard signals indicating that it was generated by artificial intelligence will be marked as ‘Artificial Intelligence Made.’ This includes content created or edited using third-party artificial intelligence tools. It also includes content created using Meta’s artificial intelligence tools, Content that is downloaded and then uploaded to Instagram,” said the company.
Earlier Meta stated that it had partnered with industry players towards setting technical standards which would ease identifying photos produced through artificial intelligence tools.
