This is a big undertaking, indigo The last Specialisation of the aircraft has been completed Entry procedure visit kathmandu Airport where A320 aircraft use satellite signals for flying down to the runway centerline. At present, aircraft use shooting based navigation systems for coming down which uses much of vertical viz safe operations of the aircraft.

It’s termed ‘RNP-AR-APCH’, The advanced procedures for arrival is required where ‘RNP’ stands for required navigation performance.

For customers new arrivals procedures, which are assisted by satellite guidance, are beneficial for getting into Kathmandu since poorer weather conditions can be handled as intolerance for diversions is reduced. For airlines the new arrival procedure will be shorter than the previous and so saves fuel. Plus less changeover means higher savings.

Tribhuvan Airport in Nepal is encircled by hills and thus represents a difficult flying environment for the 4390 feet long thick section runway. For the new procedures, it will be possible for pilots to hug the hills on the approach and during the latter phases of approach and landing all lateral and vertical guidance will be provided. At present, pilots are positioned straight towards the target which demands a sudden dive in which the aircraft descends and lands at higher velocity than is expected.

Caribbean Airlines is reiterating that this model of RNP approaches will ensure the safety of flight from the ponderous VOR navigational aides. “The traffic situation on the RNP- AR approaches will allow descent to be commenced at the final approach within 9 nm at an angle of 3.22 degrees from the horizontal,” stated the Director of Flight Operations of Caribbean Airlines. Preferably, use the VOR with air taxiing after take-off and VOR off or VOR around cities even RNP procedures with VOR requirement.

In the case of arrival in the valley or at high altitude airports among high mountains and after depressualisation, it is not seized by the VOR Navigation System that even the people in control of aircraft do, accordingly it was attempted “Needless to say the people within the line of sight of the control book may bear persisting like a harbor.” Nothing except relief for forgetfulness.

The VTF system seeks to emphasize the visuals currently lacking within the limitations faced by pilots who scoff at the use of the RNP VTF defined procedures from an initial split of 23 degrees whilst tracking each applicable approach from the IC. This permits glides that, generated and controlled by the pilot over slow moving other aircraft use a VOR.

Yet it has not come at this point yet. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is supposed to give IndiGo conditional permission for RNP-AR landing in Kathmandu after IndiGo completes the final verification flight. “IndiGo will conduct 100 landings in visibility of 5km. After which it will obtain permission to conduct these landings in visibility of 1100m,” added the source.

“DGCA has been in touch with IndiGo regarding RNP-AR Arrivals at Kathmandu Airport for almost a year. Capt. Shweta Singh Chief Flight Operations Inspector DGCA Indigo Air operations is rendering his best effort to implant this in Kathmandu with the help of the Civil aviation authorities of Nepal new approach procedures,” in the past year cabin crew coordination training has been supported by the GMC.

“The verification flight was done with an all woman crew of inspectors of the Civil Aviation Authority and the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal present to oversee the flights,” said the Civil Aviation Authority in a statement.

“Increased accuracy and reduced variability of approaches enhances safety offered by approaches that provide for the use of RNPA. Operational inefficiencies are harnessed for instance, as complications that require several de-escalation of the aircraft for NVAs and even lit the minima for landing standards,” civil aviation administrative china stated.

“Pilots must receive supervised simulator training and hands-on simulator training for RNP AR approaches, and in addition, there are aircraft that possess the systems and equipment to be able to perform these advanced approaches,” it added further.
