Prime Minister Modi Opening on Wednesday (September 11) India Semiconductor Exhibition Summit at indian fair market In Greater Noida. Speaking at the meeting, he said it was the “right time” for global chip manufacturers to invest in India.
“You are at the right time, at the right place. In 21st century Bharat, the chips never fall! Not only that, today’s Bharat assures the world – when the chips fall, you can bet on India!” addressed the conference in a keynote address.

PM says India is preparing semiconductor workforce

Modi said that the country contributes 20% of the world’s design talent and is still expanding.
“We are preparing a semiconductor workforce of 85,000 technicians, engineers and R&D experts. Bharat’s focus is on preparing students and professionals for the semiconductor industry.
Modi said that India’s slogan is “increase the number of wafers produced in India” and to this end, the government has taken measures to promote semiconductor manufacturing. Although state governments are providing additional support in this regard, the government is still providing 50% support for setting up semiconductor manufacturing facilities in the country.
“The Semicon India program is also an excellent initiative. Under this program, financial support will be provided to front-end fabs, display fabs, semiconductor packaging, compound semiconductor, sensor and display manufacturing. Modi additional.
The Prime Minister of India also stated that his dream is to “let every device in the world have chips made in India.” Bharat will make every effort to become a semiconductor powerhouse.”
Modi said India’s semiconductor ecosystem provides solutions not only to domestic challenges but also to global challenges.
