Jabalpur: A man traveled about 250 kilometers from Itasi to Jabalpur on a wheel under the bogie of an express train before he was spotted by railway staff at Jabalpur station.
The incident occurred on December 24, when Danapur ExpressAfter walking for a long time, we arrived at the outskirts of the station.
During a routine inspection, railway employees discovered a young man lying under the S-4 carriage. Concerned for his safety, they immediately alerted the locomotive driver via wireless communication, causing the train to stop.
Railway staff approached the carriage and found the man hiding under the carriage. He was asked to come out.
Later, the young man was interrogated by railway staff. During the interrogation, he revealed that he had no money to buy a ticket, so he took such a dangerous way to reach his destination.
When contacted, Railway Protection Force (RPF) TI said the man was in a poor mental state.
He further explained that the young man’s behavior and actions suggested that he might be suffering from some mental health issues.
The man’s identity remains unknown. The AC&W employees asked and allowed him to leave.
After the video went viral on social media, police said they were working to gather more information about the man, including his identity and where he lived. The RPF has now taken over the investigation to better understand the circumstances of the incident.
