In the financial year 2023-24 (April 2023 to March 2024), the company’s profit was Rs 8,836.4 billion on revenue of Rs 1.3 billion. This is higher than the profit of Rs 5,301.51 crore in the previous financial year 2022-23 on revenue of Rs 1.40 lakh.
As a result, the profit in the March quarter was 26% lower than the Rs 2,842.6 crore recorded in the previous October-December quarter. Revenue for the quarter was almost flat at Rs 32,334.5 crore.
GAIL said its board approved an investment of Rs 1,792 crore for laying pipeline Transporting raw materials for its petrochemical plants from Vijaypur in Madhya Pradesh to Patta in Uttar Pradesh.
The proposed pipeline, which will carry 950,000 tonnes of liquid products per year, will be completed within 32 months, it added.
According to a company statement, natural gas delivery volume increased by 12% this year to 120.46 million standard cubic meters per day, compared with 107.28 MMSCMD in fiscal 2023.
