In Friday’s general election, the national elections that saw the Labour Party return to power Rishi Sunak, the British Prime Minister admitted defeat. Having secured his own safety some parliamentary seats in north England he went on to congratulate Keir Starmer; the leader of the Labor party.
According to Sunak: “The Labour has emerged victorious in this general election and I have spoken with Sir Keir Starmer to congratulate him on this triumph.”
Sunak made a call for peaceful transfer of power by highlighting stability in our nation and hope for tomorrow. He has stated that confidence will rise if an orderly changeover from one regime to another is adopted and good relations exist between all parties involved as regards their perspectives for growth and survival of the country.
