Robert Vadra, husband to Priyanka Gandhi from the Congress Party, welcomed her party’s move to represent her in the Lok Sabha elections as an MP for Wayanad constituency which his younger brother, Rahul represented earlier.
Speaking about Priyanka Gandhi’s candidature, Robert Vadra expressed his optimism and emphasized on the people of Wayanad during Rahul Gandhi’s time as a Congressman.
“Rahul got a lot of love from the people of Wayanad and he also gives love. Priyanka will contest from there and it will be a very happy thing if she wins and becomes Wayanad MP, then whatever ideas and plans Rahul has, Wayanad, she will achieve them…I hope the people of Wayanad will let Priyanka win with a huge majority and then she will enter the Assembly ,” Vadra told ANI.
Rahul had won both Rai Bareilly and Wayanad LS constituencies in this month’s previous polls prior to deciding quitting Assembly seat. Getting his sister engaged into politics and campaigning from there in Kerala.
