Delhi Police are expected to issue notices to IAS probationers Pooja Khedkar for her involvement in the fraud and forgery case that was launched against her last week, according to official sources on Wednesday.
this This Crime Branch The process of gathering relevant papers and evidence concerning this issue has already started at Delhi Police headquarters.
Khedkar was picked up by the crime branch on 19 July for abusing physically disability and other backward class (non creamy layer) quotas in securing her admission into civil services as well as forging all required documents beyond allowable attempts of UPSC exams.

According to officers from Delhi Police, a special team headed by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Crime Branch is collecting documents from various government departments for use in the prosecution.
“Once the team compiles these papers it will most likely serve a notice on Khedekar calling her to join investigations. Then they will ask her about the suspected act.” These false writings” an official source asserted.
The charges registered against Khedkar include offences under several sections of CrPC indian penal code (IPC). Such as Section 420 (a cheat), 464 (making document in name of any fictitious person), 465( forgery )and 471(passing off forged document as genuine). Additionally she is also charged under section 89 & 91 of Rights Of Persons With Disabilities Act And Section 66D of Information Technology Act.
Khedkar, who is currently serving as an assistant collector probationer at District Collection Pune, belongs to IAS batch2023. She was moved from Pune to Washim earlier this month after being charged while her suspension order stayed its operation. Thereafter, she was sent back to Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration Mussoorie Uttarakhand.
It is stated that while in Pune, Khedekar exploited her position and asked for more than she deserved. She was alleged to have used physical disability and OBC non-creamy layer quota during UPSC examination.
Delhi Police is now gathering documents and other evidence in support of the case against her. Investigations are still underway and authorities are working towards getting all important information before formally summoning Hedka for investigations.
