How to find legitimate government apps in the Play Store
As part of this process, Google has added a new “Government” badge to the Play Store’s app listing page. Clicking on the badge displays the app’s link to the government entity and confirms its authenticity. The new badges can also be found in app listings such as Top Rankings.
