As reported by Parami, the main manufacturing partner of Apple The firm is expected to start production of these premium devices at its tamil nadu factory within weeks of their global launch this fall.

Apple trains workers for iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max production at Foxconn’s factory in Tamil Nadu.

The tech giant has begun training thousands of employees at its southern Indian facilities to make iPhones iphone 16 pro and pro max models with the intent to ensure that the manufacturing schedule remains as close as possible to the global premiere date.

According to Parami, in FY24 Apple assembled US$14bn worth of iPhones in India alone accounting for around 14% of global production.

Firstly, it began making iPhones in India last year with iPhone SE; then came non-Pro versions gradually, while last year also saw Made-in-India iPhone 15s launched at an event. Now company plans on launching pro models which will further enhance India share percentage in its worldwide workforce with an aim having Indian products representing a quarter (25%) of all Indian produced IPhones over next three years or four years.

Tata Group may also soon produce iPhones in India and most of the products will be exported overseas

While Parami will be leading the creation of pros other partners include Pegatron’s local business unit as well as Tata Group where they could manufacture those too later according claims cited by unnamed sources familiar with matter made within bloomberg’s article.

Majority of india-made pro and pro max equipment would be shipped out into Europe, Middle East and United States.

However despite starting production of Pro Iphones in India Bloomberg noted that majority iPhones are still produced in China. The company faces challenges when it comes to operating there such as having to import expensive components and paying local taxes which would continue.
