Hoda Kotb, who is the host of “Today,” came out recently and told that she had broken off a brief affair and gave an insight into her recent dating experience and what she is now looking for in a man. Kotb was open about it on one of the most recent episodes of the show, stating that although it ended their relationship did not work out, but it clarified to her what was truly important in such relations.
She realizes that the relationship meant something even though it was short-lived and taught her some valuable lessons. She understood that she needed someone who shared similar values as hers and could see through things in future. This has crafted her current approach to dating where she wants someone who will make life better as opposed to just filling a void.
She has always been open about her personal life on TV, urging people not to settle for less than they deserve. While moving forward, however, Kotb started identifying what kind of qualities she wanted in a companion including kindness, empathy, as well as similarity of purpose.
