Bathinda: A female student was killed and two others and the driver were injured when a private transport company’s bus rammed into a school bus in Kale Bar Village in Faridkot district on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Ekam from Kot Sukhia village. She is studying Standard IX.
Shaheed Ganj Public School Mudki’s van was taking students to the school when a bus collided in Kaler village, resulting in Ekam’s death.
The injured have been admitted to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College Hospital, Faridkot.
Faridkot Deputy Commissioner Vinit Kumar and SSP Pragya Jain reached the spot and asked the police to take the injured to hospital.
It is said that the school bus was hit by the bus when it entered the main road from a certain connecting road.
