According to reports, the former Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao reportedly wants a 2022 case of MLA poaching forced BJP into a compromise, and then helped secure her daughter and MLC K cavisa in a Delhi liquor sting operation.
This was stated in the Plea Report. Radha Kishan Rao is an accused in the illegal phone tapping case who used to be DCP of Hyderabad Police Task Force.
Rao’s confession allegedly revealed that BRS boss and then CM ordered tech-survey on getting information about this alleged poaching which led to failed attempt by police to arrest senior BJP functionary BL Santhosh. But when the matter reached Telangana HC, Indian Government’s attempts to trap BJP failed which handed over the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
On his part Rao referred to KCR as peddayana (elder) saying during his confession that at that time as Chief Minister was annoyed because everything did not go as planned. “Peddayana is angry that ‘job’ did not happen according to his requirement,” he said. “I don’t want to get more specific here because I owe a lot to Peddayana who has given me two more postings after my retirement in 2020 from where I was called back again,” he added claiming that T Prabhakar Rao who had been SIB director until October last year had told him how then Tandur MLA pilot Rohith Reddy said some people who claimed themselves influential in BJP have approached him (Rohith Reddy) trying to persuade him into leaving BRS along with other MLAs and join their saffron party. In addition, they submitted an audio clip after intercepting calls made by private persons and MLAs through Mr. D Praneeth Rao former deputy SP SIB under command from KCR. The previous minister also asked for a police trap to be set up and instructed Rohis to comply with the police, besides allegedly asking three other MLAs to participate in the operation.
DMK MPs who were formerly from Tandur claimed that Rohith Reddy took them to a farm house in Moinabad. The three have been arrested for luring four BRS MLAs into joining BJP. “And later on SIT was created and KCR wanted Santosh (BJP national leader) arrested so as to make it stronger for compromise in order to get away ED case of his daughter (Kavitha),” stated the deposition report of the charges.
Nonetheless, due to lack of efficiency on the part of some Cyberabad police officers, one major player escaped from detention.
It was learned Rao said that a team of police officers led by SP-rank woman officer Rema Rajeshwari flew in a chartered airplane to Kerala but failed apprehending an absconding felon. The case associated with poaching eventually went up before Telangana High Court which stayed arrest of accused persons and handed over investigation to CBI in December 2022.
