Also among those charged in the case was MLA K Raghurama Krishnam Raju (RRR) who is a member from Tirupati constituency representing TDP.
The MLA accused the police and Jagan Mohan Reddy with murder conspiracy, custodial torture and wanton negligence.
While in detention, he narrated how policemen tortured him physically, including being beaten up in their custody or attempts to suffocate his heart by sitting on his chest.
Under Sections 120 b, 166, 167, 197, 307, 326, 465, 506 r/w34 IIPC a case has been registered at the police station against them and further investigation is going on.
Raghurama Krishnam Raju – former MP Narsapuram Lok Sabha Constituency – complained that he had been arrested by AP CID personnel at Hyderabad in May this year as per FIR
Rather than taking the detainees before any local court at Hyderabad to obtain transit warrant for shifting them to Guntur; CID personnel transported RRR there.
He also said that PV Sunil Kumar from CID police hit him with lathis and rubber bands together with Anjaneyulu PSR among other cops that assaulted him.
During that time MLAs were forbidden to use any medicines for heart diseases during this period under orders given by then CM YS Jagmohan Reddy himself?
He went on saying that they tried murdering him while his phone was taken away by the police and tortured him to reveal its password.
Afterwards, the MLA was transferred to GGH Guntur where Dr. G Prabhavathi attended him and gave a false medical certificate for the police stating that RRR had not been hurt in any way, which would prevent law enforcement from being held accountable for their actions.
