Swift’s self-published Eras Tour Book has become a bestseller, although fans have noticed some spelling mistakes, layout issues and typographical errors. The coffee table book was released on Black Friday, sparking huge excitement among Swifties, many of whom lined up at Target stores early to snap it up. However, some fans took to social media to express their disappointment at the bug they discovered.
The 256-page book, priced at $39.99, features more than 500 photos and Swift’s reflections on her record-breaking Eras tour. While many fans praised the exclusive content, including never-before-seen images and insights into Swift’s tour rituals, others pointed out mistakes like misspelled song titles and incorrect tour dates. For example, the song “This Is Me Trying” is listed as “This Is Me Rying”, while “Gold Rush” is written as one word instead of two. Additionally, Swift’s Toronto tour dates are incomplete, omitting her Nov. 21 performance.
The book’s layout also drew criticism. Fans pointed out that some of the images looked blurry or misplaced, including one two-page spread that cut through Swift’s central image, making it difficult to view. Some have speculated that some of the images may be screenshots from the Eras Tour concert film rather than high-resolution photos.
Despite these flaws, the book was a commercial success, possibly due to Swift’s decision to self-publish taylor swift publications. Publishing experts say self-publishing may be to blame for these errors because traditional publishing houses often have more extensive quality control processes.
Many fans saw the humor in the situation and nicknamed the book “The Book of Mistakes.” While some readers wanted more detailed insights from Swift’s personal writings, others appreciated the book’s sentimental value and connection to the iconic tour.
Mistakes aside, Swift’s move to self-publish is seen as another example of her entrepreneurial spirit, showing that her influence extends beyond music and into the world of creative business.
