Lord: Devendra Fadnavisset to return chief minister of maharashtra A political observer noted Wednesday that this is his third effective use of social media, which has helped him reach a larger digital audience than his peers.
Prasad Kulkarni, a Thane-based social media expert, said the BJP leader was the “most followed” Maharashtra politician on social media. Fadnavis was elected as the leader of the BJP’s legislative party earlier in the day and will be sworn in as chief minister on Thursday evening after the Bharatiya Janata Party-led Mahayutthir alliance won the election last month. Kulkarni told PTI that BJP leaders are always in touch with voters, not just during elections.
He said Fadnavis has 5.9 million followers on . As a result, he has the highest engagement across all platforms among prominent political leaders in the state, Kulkarni said.
He pointed out that young people make up a large proportion of voters and they have embraced digital platforms in large numbers. Kulkarni said Fadnavis launched a daily campaign on social media when the assembly elections were announced.
His social media posts, without exception, provide information about each of his public meetings or events. His team used animated graphics, customized songs, inspirational lyrics and even rap music, and also shared clips from news channels. Kulkarni pointed out that Fadnavis understands the advantages of each social media platform.
On X, he talks about serious issues, while on Instagram and Facebook, where party members and ordinary people are more influential, he takes a more aggressive and motivational tone. Kulkarni added that unlike many politicians who use the same content across all platforms, Fadnavis ensures that each platform has content that is suitable for its audience.
