Dealing with public trolling and online criticism is part of the job in the reality TV world; especially for Split Villa X5 player Sivert Tomar. He learnt to deal with this by switching off his notifications after being flooded by trolls and negative comments. In an exclusive interview with ETimes TV, Siwet talks about how he deals with the inevitable backlash that comes with being in the spotlight challenges, especially in the digital age where everyone has an opinion.
When asked how he deals with hate, Siwet responded, “On a show like Splitsvilla X5 you are always under scrutiny. Every little thing is judged and people They don’t hold back.
Siwet then added that he has a thick skin and practical ways to deal with it. He took himself away from those comments instead of getting affected by them because his life mattered most to him. “You know I turn off my notifications,” He explained softly; “It’s small but very impactful because there is no need for me to see each and every comment specifically those trying to drag me down.” It isn’t worth it either my time or energy.
Further on he said, “I focus on the support I get from my fans and loved ones. Their encouragement means the world to me and that’s what I choose to focus on. In the end, you can’t please everybody and it’s okay.” Nonetheless Siwet remains unwavering throughout Challenge for his Splitsvilla X5 journey. He has committed himself not be distracted by all this online hustle n bustle from his goals but rather stay true to himself “I would tell anyone who has been dealing with trolls or nasty comments one thing: just keep yourself safe,” advised Siwet finally; “Turn off your notifications, stay positive, move forward because life is too short for negativity to hold you down.”
