England announce Women’s T20 World Cup squad, surprise selections | Parami News

The England team for the upcoming ICC line up the Women’s t20 world cup was wizened on Tuesday, following which the team christens exceptional individual performances in the latest home tournaments.

An unchanged 15-member team led by regular captain Heather Knight including spinner Lindsay Smithseamer Lauren Bell All-rounders Dani Gibson and Wicket keeper Batswoman Bess Heath also made their way on to the edition of the century that reports Parami.

Nevertheless, the process of that type inevitably means a few veterans such as opener Tammy Beaumont. There was neither right arm medium pacer Kate Cross nor left arm fast bowler Lauren Filer in the final selection.

Beaumont was excluded even though she came up with a score of 164 runs in the latest hundred.

On Tuesday, England named their squad for the forthcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup as well as announced their squad for the September series rewarding the strong individual performances in the recent domestic competition.

Due to country’s assignment of having been the first winner of the Women’s T20 World Cup, they have been drawn in group B with Bangladesh, Scotland, South Fafrica and West Indies in the 9th edition of the tournament.

In anticipation of the mighty contest for the T20 World Cup, Captain, Knight said she is thrilled as the team is getting ready to battle against the foes.

“As a player, the World Cup is always an event which is hard to be missed and the team we chosen to take up is equally exciting. Leading the team for another World Cup is a privilege. We are preparing well for the challenges and opportunities, ICC Knight was quoted on the issue.”
