New Delhi: Enforcement Directorate (emergency room) searched his ex on Wednesday Artificial Intelligence ADMK minister Vaityalingam and several others as money laundering investigation.
According to official sources, raids are being carried out in four cities across the country. tamil naduincluding Chennai, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
The ED’s investigation focuses on the alleged quid pro quo arrangement in which Vaithiyalingam imposed sanctions on the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority’s projects when he was the housing development minister of Tamil Nadu.
The “tainted” funds were allegedly transferred as unsecured loans to bank accounts of companies linked to him.
Vaithiyalingam is a close aide of former chief minister O. Panneerselvam (OPS), who was expelled from the AIADMK along with OPS in 2022 amid a leadership dispute involving current party president Edappadi K. Palaniswami.
