She was admitted to the district hospital on September 22 and about a week ago, she underwent surgery to remove nearly two kilograms of hair from her stomach.

After talking to the girl, it was discovered that she had been secretly eating her own hair for 16 years. To prevent her from repeating this behavior in the future, counseling sessions will continue for several months.
According to the doctor, the girl suffers from Trichophagiawhich caused so much hair to build up in her stomach that she couldn’t eat. A CT scan of her stomach revealed the presence of rough stoneand related conditions mental disorder Trichotillomania.
The successful surgery was performed by senior surgeons Dr MP Singh, Dr Anjali Soni, Dr Mugdha Sharma, nurse Bhavna and psychiatrists Dr Ashish Kumar and Dr Pragya Maheshwari of the district hospital.
