There is a man who tasted a lot of success in WWE this year, and it is already Drew McIntyre of the Scottish Warriors. Despite several obstacles, particularly CM Punk being the biggest one, he eventually defied all odds and pulled off significant victories during crunch times. Presently, McIntyre opens up on Triple H’s era that lets him be himself as well as thrive.
On “The Masked Man” at Fandom podcast, Drew talked about his current achievements in WWE stating that Triple H now manages creative aspects to ensure he has more freedom. He and numerous other wrestlers have been privileged by this change. “The creative environment at WWE with Triple H kind of leading the way there’s a freedom I’ve never experienced before, and you see so many different people from every walk of life both boys and girls finding themselves right now we have a lot of super stars.” This show isn’t just built around two or three guys,” Drew said while praising “The Game” Triple H.
Drew’s character has changed into one we recognize today through playing as a villain in WWE; someone who is reckless enough to say what they think out loud and with mean words. In addition, regarding the matter at hand McIntyre went on to explain how he could go completely wild on himself without any inhibitions from his personality. “I care but I don’t care; like I’m going to do it the way I wanna do it if I wanna do what I want when I want where everyone else doesn’t like tough luck. And as long as my fans are cheering for me or not making Boo sounds and as long as they’re invested emotionally then everybody else’s opinion doesn’t mean anything including those among us who play in the roster; all these guys tried so hard not to make me care about them or something like that because right now they want me to feel 100% myself,” commented Drew on his newly adopted attitude and how it has worked out for him.
On that night, McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins at Wrestlemania XL to become the World Heavyweight Champion (a title he lost later in the evening), and then went on to win Money In The Bank Contract (which he lost later that evening too). Finally, after six months of sheer chaos, Drew pinned CM Punk at SummerSlam who had lost everything. Although numerous opportunities were stolen by Punk from Drew to be a world champion, he still partly reached his goals as “Scottish Psychopath” during the year. Then they’ll have another mouth-watering match with CM Punk in the “Strap” match at Berlin Bash.
