Mumbai Police is verifying social media posts claiming that the Bishnoi gang was responsible for Baba Siddique’s murder. “We have come across the post which has gone viral on social media. We are verifying the authenticity and background,” a senior police officer said.
The incident took place around 9:30 pm when three assailants opened fire, hitting NCP leader Siddique in the chest. Police arrested two gunmen, 23-year-old Gurmail Baljit Singh from Haryana and 19-year-old Dharamraj Kashi from Uttar Pradesh Dharamraj Kashyap. The third suspect, Shiv Kumar of Uttar Pradesh, is still at large.
