Young Riyan Parag, known for speaking his mind, no matter what, came up with a bold response when asked to predict the top four teams in the ongoing T20 World Cup on Saturday.
Parag says he will think about top four teams when he plays the World Cup himself.
A cricketing extravaganza conducted by the ICC is underway from June 2 in USA and West Indies.
In a viral video clip on social media, Parag initially shows that one of his choices would be India but then refuses to respond to who are the best four teams.
“It will be a biased answer (prediction on top four teams) but I don’t even want to watch the world cup very honestly. I’ll just see who is winning it at the end and I’ll be happy. When I will play the World Cup, I will think about top four and all of that,” Parag said in a chat with The Bharat Army.
Further adding, Short-term goals do not matter to me as all I know is that one day am going to represent India no matter what as recently claimed by Parag .
“At some point you have to take me right? So that’s my belief, am going play for India. Don’t really care when,” stated Parag during an interview with PTI
The Rajasthan Royals’ number 4 had an incredible breakout IPL season this year scoring 573 runs at a strike-rate of nearly 150.
Parag has played for Royals since his debut season in 2018 but his previous seasons total were poor – 160, 86, 93, 183 ,78.
But after pulling off an amazing IPL season with bat this year; Parag along with Abhishek Sharma and Harshit Rana is more than likely to get picked for tour of Zimbabwe post T20 World Cup.
