Seth Rollins will continue after the world heavyweight champion for quite a while The belt has not yet come to an end even though it is in the near future. Damian Priest is vying to obtain the title. They went into two directly, with Priest not only defending his championship from him, but also defeating McIntyre with a gentleman’s agreement of both wrestlers in place. Despite this however, Priest was gracious enough to let Rollins have another go at it.
There’s no chance that Seth Rollins and Damian Priest will have their rematch anytime soon
Through their previous gentlemen’s agreement Seth Rollins provided Damian Priest with a release from Judgement Day; as long as he was beaten fairly by him. WWE Raw Backstage for the July 8 episode.
In conclusion, when there were congratulations going around, among others that came from ringside, Seth Rollins had said that Damian Priest was good and lucky but would abide by our gentleman’s agreement. On the other hand Damien responded saying that he still had so much to prove as a champion and he was willing to walk away from it all. This may result in Gunther defending his title against Priest after Summer Slam 2024.
Therefore there won’t be any title match between Rollins and Priest anytime soon (If ever). Summerslam 2024 won’t be easy on Gunther because this is something which he has been waiting for patiently. However, having doubts about whether one can hold onto such a prestigious belt since winning it at Wrestle Mania 40 has never crossed my mind concerning Priest or not.
Thus given the potential content on offer we can observe how Summerslam unfolds. If Gunther wins then again Rollins might mount another challenge towards him for another shot at the title (which he can anyway do since it is not part of any gentlemans’ agreement). But if any such thing happens cannot be anticipate.
It is too early to say that McIntyre was attempting to steal from the bank of money. He could have succeeded if CM Punk hadn’t intervened in support of Priest in winning this bout. One thing is for sure; there’s going to be plenty of drama around the World Heavyweight Championship.
