Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district has received 146.4 Crores of funds. Speaking at a ‘Meet the Press’ event at Pathrika Bhavan on Saturday, Mundodi highlighted that the district ranks 21st in the implementation of Yuva Nidhi, one of the five guarantee schemes in Karnataka.

The district also achieved 98 per cent of the target under the Gruha Jyothi scheme, transferring Rs 558.9 crore to Mescom.
Mundodi pointed out that more than 4,600 beneficiaries missed out on the Gruha Lakshmi scheme due to IT return issues. Beneficiaries have to submit IT returns to avail bank loans for building houses and some beneficiaries are facing difficulties in linking PAN with Aadhaar.
Responding to criticism from the opposition, Mundodi said: “Opposition parties, including the BJP, have been spreading false information, saying that the government’s finances are empty and development work is at a standstill. If this is true, how can Karnataka’s GDP be ranked What about the first in the nation? He also defended the transparency of these programs and stressed that commissions are not allowed.
