On that Saturday morning, a certain cattle vigilante, called Sonu Sarpanch from the rewari district was reported to have killed the cattle smugglers near mahuchoputa village. The incident occurred in Nuh district of Haryana according to police authority. Sonu was immediately taken to a private hospital in Faridabad and later transferred for further treatment to Medanta Medicity in Gurgaon.
According to this Superintendent of Police Narendra Biyaniathis said that the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is where the incident happened; some few dairy vigalante are chasing vehicles belonging to cattle smugglers which are the cause of all these crimes, Whereby an FIR will be lodged based on the information given.
The other milk vigilante Chaman Khatana said it took place about 4:45 am on Saturday while seven milk vigilantes pursued the smugglers’ pickup truck.The jeep rolled over at Mau-Chopta village and the smuggler tried escaping on foot. At this time one of them was caught by bereaved cops, thus when Sonu apprehended another one, remaining others opened fire.Sonu was struck by bullets in his stomach and he sustained severe injuries.
Following that incident Milk vigilantes gathered outside Medanta Hospital while demanding for protection for other Vigilantism. Hindus leader Kulbhushan Bhardwaj appealed for licensed weapons to be provided among cow Vigilantism.
