CM Punk performed backstage with the iconic DX duo on NXTWWE’s NXT has moved to the CW Network. However, Punk’s attire before the game was somewhat questionable. He was wearing black shorts and the referee had a “Heartbreak Kid” hat on his shirt. The Finest Man in the World was seen talking to Triple H. Michaels interrupted the conversation and stopped Punk’s refusal to wear his match uniform. He took the hat from Punk.
Of course, Punk didn’t show up to the match in backstage costume, but the segment was definitely entertaining.
As the special guest referee, Punk ensured a fair fight between Ethan Page and Trick Williams, as he had promised before. However, when the match ended, with Williams victorious and claiming the NXT Championship, Punk told Page to “go to bed.” The WWE Superstar later treated fans to free pizza as he left the arena, where Williams was celebrating his latest victory in the Oct. 1 headline match.
