China announced on Friday that it would extend Visa-free entry Citizens from nine other countries, including South Korea, Norwayand Finland.
This policy aims to strengthen travel and Business Opportunity, effective November 8, 2024, until December 31, 2025.
Nationals from these countries – South Korea, Norway, Finland, Slovakia, Denmark, IcelandAndorra, Monaco and Liechtenstein – can enter China for up to 15 days without a visa.
According to its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visa-free entry will be available for business, tourism, family visits or transit purposes.
The expansion is part of China’s broader strategy to promote economic and cultural exchanges.
In recent months, the country has offered similar arrangements to citizens from various European and Asian countries.
From December 1, 2023 to November 30, 2024, ordinary passport holders from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia and other countries can enjoy 15 days of visa-free entry for business, tourism, family visits, relatives or transit.
In addition, starting from November 17, 2023, Norwegian citizens can enjoy 72-hour or 144-hour transit visa-free treatment in more than 20 cities in China. In addition, visitors to Hainan Province can enter without a visa for up to 15 days or 21 days if they participate in a group tour organized by an approved travel agency.
China also provides visa-free treatment under special circumstances. Foreigners who hold an APEC Business Travel Card and hold a valid permanent residence permit for foreigners or a residence permit for foreigners from the People’s Republic of China are also able to enter without a visa.
