‘Chicago PD’ is a hit series that will undertake drastic transformations in its twelfth season, including the addition of Toya Turner as one of its cast members. Turner has previously starred in New Amsterdam and Sister Warrior, with this latter role she will be playing Yara Page, a lady police officer meant to bring new life into the story. In fact, Turner’s return to Chicago Universe after taking part in various roles on “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago Med.”

Tonya Turner is joining the Chicago PD Season 12 ensemble cast as a series regular. Officer Yara Page is going to be played by Turner; it is hoped that she will bring freshness and more excitement to the show. In this role, she brings something new such that fans are curious about how she fits into the existing team; Deadline reported her casting. Her previous appearance was different from one Chicago but now it’s an opportunity for her to develop new aspects of the program.

Changes in Season 12

This addition comes after some major changes were made on “Chicago PD’s” cast list. Spiridakos’ exit from the show after eight seasons playing Detective Haley Upton during season 11 marked a turning point for the series since she took up such a big space. Earlier in the show, Jesse Lee Soffer also left his character Jay Halstead who was Haley’s ex-husband. These departures created room for new characters and storylines, paving way for Turner’s entrance.

With another season coming up soon, fans are talking about possible shifts in romance on their screens. Rumors have it that LaRoyce Hawkins Kevin Atwater might have something brewing with Yara Page. A potential love connection between Atwater and Turner’s character forms most part of their chemistry but it is still a suspense until the season commences.
