On her much-quoted album, Swift managed to draw attention to Puth with a line on the title track, saying: “We claim that Charlie Puth should have been a greater artist.”
That specific mention resonated, prompting Puth to acknowledge the move and release new music.
Puth shared a clip of his upcoming single “Hero” on Instagram and thanked those who supported him, alluding to Swift’s endorsement.
He admitted to being nervous about being too honest with his music, but revealed that Swift’s mention was a sign of the song’s release.
This isn’t the first time Puth and Swift have crossed paths musically. Puth previously covered Swift’s hit song “Teardrops on My Guitar,” praising her technique for reinventing classic chord progressions.
Despite rumors of a collaboration, Puth clarified in a 2022 interview that they were not working together but said he was open to the idea, Variety reported
