RM of BTS is an active participant even during his military service and he recently took part in the Hwacheon Tomato Festival. It has attracted a lot of people’s attention to him, as a Korean pop singer. Lately, there have been several videos of him during fan-filmed events preparing to play at the music festival with a lively mood and celebrations. During the period under review, RM enrolled in December 2023 together with V who was seen doing rehearsals with his colleagues from the marching band.
These videos went viral very quickly providing fans with a rare view into RM’s military persona. In photos and videos, he is dressed in black T-shirt and hats bearing the insignia of military band unit number 15 which clearly show that he plays an active role in setting up and organizing the performance area. Such direct involvement illustrated his commitment to active duty.
Many fans have flocked to today’s music festival wanting to see RM perform. Some pictures were posted online showing him along with other soldiers standing on stage causing more anxiety among fans. A lot of them saw three stripes on his cap leading to speculations that Mr Kim had been promoted up to corporal rank or something similar., The emblem on its cap matches this military rank though it not yet confirmed officially since it was no surprise given how dedicatedly Kim did during his tenure as well as some excellent performances.
Since joining the army, RM has been acknowledged for his intensity and industry, and this only enhanced the love from supporters plus peers when they came across him at the event. His stint will end by June 2025 when he will retire having joined back with BTS again where they would commence group activities together.
